Position Overview: We are seeking a dynamic and motivated Formalwear Coordinator to join our Barnsley branch. The ideal candidate will be passionate about menswear, possess excellent customer service skills, and have a keen eye for detail. As a Formalwear Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in ensuring our customers look their best for weddings and other special occasions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Customer Measurements: Accurately measure customers for suits and formalwear for weddings and other occasions.

  • Stock Control: Maintain a thorough knowledge of company stock, manage stock levels, and liaise with our Wakefield branch to fulfill orders.

  • Target Achievement: Work towards sales and service targets throughout the year, contributing to the overall success of the business.

  • Promotion and Networking: Stay in communication with local wedding fairs to promote the business and increase brand awareness.

  • Stock Condition and Cleanliness: Ensure all stock is in excellent condition and cleanliness, coordinating with local dry cleaners as necessary.


  • Education: Maths and English GCSE (C or above) or equivalent.

  • Experience: Retail or customer service experience required; sewing or alteration experience preferred but not essential.

  • Skills: Time management, communication, sales, self-motivation, adaptive mentality.

  • Competencies: Attention to detail, customer service orientation.

Work Environment:

  • Location: Based in our Barnsley branch with a designated workroom for the position.

  • Team: Work with a team of 6 on-floor staff members. Our staff have long-standing positions ranging from 3 to over 40 years and are committed to the company and its values.

Job Description: Weekend Sales Advisor

Position: Sales Advisor
Location: Barnsley Branch
Hours: 4-12 hours per week, part-time, mostly weekend work

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate our retail system to process sales efficiently.

  • Organise and merchandise stock within the store, ensuring displays are attractive and up-to-date.

  • Perform general cleaning duties to maintain a tidy and inviting store environment.

  • Create a positive and friendly atmosphere for all customers.

  • Maintain accuracy and attention to detail in all tasks.

  • Learn and maintain good knowledge of the brands and products we sell.

  • Provide exceptional customer service by being friendly, helpful, and professional.


  • Education: GCSEs in Maths and English (C grade or above) or equivalent.

  • Experience: Customer service experience preferred but not essential, as on-the-job training will be provided.

  • Skills: Excellent IT skills, time management, communication, sales, self-motivation, and adaptability.

  • Competencies: High attention to detail and strong customer service skills.

Work Environment:

  • You will be based in our Barnsley branch, working alongside a dedicated team of six floor staff.
